1. What is a macaron?
A macaron is a sweet meringue-based patisserie made with egg whites, sugar, almond meal, and is filled with a buttercream, jam, or chocolate ganache to make it crispy on the outside and moist inside.

2. What are the ingredients in each macaron?

Almond meal (Adelaide), Icing Sugar Gluten Free + Caster Sugar (Bundaberg), White Eggs, Water, Food coloring.
Cream, Butter (NZ)(Salted and Unsalted), Chocolate (Callebaut: White and Dark Chocolate + Cocoa powder), Coconut shred, Pistachio (Crashed Pistachio nuts), Hazelnut (roasted nuts), Macadamia (roasted nuts), Coffee (beans), Whole Fruit (Raspberry and Blueberry with Gelatin and Pectin, Lemon (zest and juice), Vanilla (Bean + extract), Fresh Basil, Compound (Lavender, Banana, Lemon, Pistachio, Maracuja), Syrup (Grenadine).

3. What is the size of your macarons?
Our macarons are approximately 4.5cm in diameter.

4. For how long will your macarons stay fresh?
Outside of the fridge: Up to 10hours (in a cold room)
In the fridge Up to 1 week (closed container away from humidity)
In the freezer Up to 6 months (closed container away from humidity)

5. Are your macarons Gluten Free?
We do not use ingredients with Gluten. In our kitchen, we do not work with Gluten. Nevertheless our main supplier (Almond meal and nuts) indicates that their products  "May contain trace of Gluten".

6. Do your macarons contain nuts?
Yes, our macarons may contain traces of nuts (pistachio, macadamia,...)

7. Where are your macarons made?
Monsieur Macaron is a proudly owned Australian Company. All our macarons are made in our factory located in Rocklea Qld.

8. Where do you source your ingredients?
We only use high quality Australian ingredients:
Sugar: Bundaberg, Cream: Brisbane, Nuts, Almond Meals: Adelaide , Fruits: QLD

9. Do you deliver?
Yes we deliver, please see below delivery condition:

- Delivery schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am to 12pm (excluding public holidays). 
- Cost: $9.90 (Brisbane CBD) - $20.90 (Brisbane) - $31.90 (Near Suburbs Brisbane)
For delivery outside Brisbane please contact us on:  04 5110 4048.
- Delivery condition: delivery available only if a minimum of $150 is spent.

10. Is that alright to come pick my order up from the factory?
Yes, you can pick them up from our factory. Please see below pick up conditions:

- Pick up Address: Monsieur Macaron - Unit 2/1 Medway Street, Rocklea 4106 QLD.
- Pick up Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am to 3pm (excluding public holidays).
- Cost: Free
- CBD and Weekend Pick up: You can pick your order up from the markets.

11. How many days’ notice do I need to give you to place my order?
Please place your order before 3pm and within 2 working days.

12. Do you sell macaron pyramid stand?
No unfortunately we don’t. However they are available to hire for $40.

13. Can I choose any flavour I want if I need to order an assorted macaron gift box?
Yes definitely, you can choose any flavours you like available in our catalogue.

14. What is the difference between a “Macaroon” and a “Macaron”?
The macaroon is a sweet pastry originally from Scotland made with coconut and raspberry Jam whereas the macaron has been created by LaDurée in 1930. LaDurée took 2 almond macarons added some icing sugar to create a smooth shape and then made a sandwich with ganache filling.

15. How hard is the macaron to bake?
The macaron is a difficult desert to bake as they’ve been known to be very temperamental. Indeed, humidity and acidity can easily damage them as well as the use of low quality ingredients.
